UmbraVox Advanced Paranormal Investigation Pod Photos |

The UmbraVox Paranormal Investigation Pod in operation (visible mode) on a set of wooden stairs. In this
photo, it is being powered by internal batteries.
The sensor (not in photo)) is on a step further down, to record any vibrations from someone (or something) walking down the stairs.
If anyone (or anything) disturbs the sensor or cable, this will be recorded as a large movement.
If someone walks down the stairs without touching the sensor or cable, any vibrations caused by their footsteps will be recorded.

The sensor resting on an old wood floor to record vibrations in the floor, or movement of the sensor.
The sensor is not secured to the floor, so if anyone (or anything) bumps the sensor cable or the sensor, the movement will be recorded.
If someone walks near the sensor without toucking it, any vibrations caused by their footsteps will be recorded.

|
|
The sensor attached to a closed door using duct tape.
If the door is opened, a large movement will be recorded. If the door is knocked on or the doorknob turned, small vibrations will be recorded.
For long term investigations, the sensor can be screwed to the door through the holes near the edges, or hung from the doorknob. This will eliminate the possibility
of the tape coming loose over time.

|
The sensor attached to a sheet of paper and suspended by its cable from a stair railing.
The low mass and high surface area of the paper will amplify the effects of air movement caused by someone (or something) walking down the stairs.
Attaching the sensor to paper, cardboard, a balloon, or other large low mass object, is useful in places that normally have relatively still air.

The components of the UmbraVox Paranormal Investigation Pod system.
Shown are the UmbraVox base unit, the sensor, the power cable, the 110V AC to 5V DC USB power adapter, and the SD card.
A CR2032 battery used to power the real time clock is installed inside the battery compartment of the base unit.
The optional AA batteries that may be used to power the UmbraVox in areas where external power is not available are not included.
